Viewscape:
The south arm is very steep. Several rocky slopes and bedrock faces
extend to the waters edge. This area is completely forested in Douglas
fir. Patches of western birch are scarce and scattered over
the hillsides. Understorey and groundstorey is very low and the
forest is mainly open and clear. The west arm is more gently rolling
to hilly with mixed mature Douglas fir, Lodgepole pine and spruce
on both sides. Deciduous growth is restricted to a few isolated
patches mostly on the south shore. Summer cabins are located along
the north shore.
Shoreline:
The south arm area is very steep both above and below the water
line. Shoreline is dominated by near 100% cobble and boulder from
failing talus slopes and bedrock outcroppings. The west arm is fairly
steep but open and stable with a thin margin of understorey development
at the waters edge. Shoreline substrate is again cobble with occasional
small sandy beaches.
