Location:
At Williams Lake turn west
onto Hwy 20. Continue approx 97 km (60 mi) to Hanceville (a.k.a.
Lee's Corner) then turn off the highway and travel south 4.67 km
(2.9 mi), crossing a bridge over the Chilcotin River. Turn right
on the Taseko Lake Road. Drive 44.6 km (27.7 miles) and then turn
right (north) onto a very rough road for about 5 miles. Keep to
the right until you reach the lake. This last stretch of road can
be bad, expecially in wet weather. Use a 4x4.
Resorts
& Campsites:
A fishing lodge and several cabins are located at the northeast
corner of the lake. There is also a small forested BCFS campsite
which is very private because of the rough road. Car toppers can
be launched.

Fishing
Report: Wild rainbows averaging 1 1/2 lbs are caught
from May to July and September through October. While spinning gear
is the most popular, fly fishermen do very well. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com
for angling information!
Viewscape:
Scum is surrounded by flat to gently rolling terrain, covered in
open pine forest mixed with occassional spruce trees and patches
of aspen and birch trees.
Shoreline:
Consists of cobble and boulders. Grass and small shrubs extend back
some distance from the shoreline in many places, otherwise pine
forest grows to the shoreline.
Note:
Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start
fishing a new lake.
