Location:
Charlotte Lake is a 20 km (12.4 mi) long and 6 km (3.72 mi) wide
lake located in BC's Chilcotin region south of Nimpo
Lake on the Pine Point Resort road. After 10 km (6.2 mi) you
branch south for another 20 km (12.4 mi) to reach the lake. As road
conditions into the lake can be rough in wet weather, it is advisable
to check at Nimpo Lake for details. Many think this is a worthwhile
trek, even though the road is bad, as Charlotte Lake is a popular
destination for both fishers and families.
Resorts
& Campsites:
An uncrowded Forest Service Campsite on the southeast end, provides
campers with excellent fishing, swimming and boating. The wonderful
beach and sand flats are a bonus to those with families. Other resort
facilities are available from May to November.

Fishing
Report: Even though the average rainbow trout may reach
4 to 5 pounds, much larger ones are often caught. Trolling lures
and flies report the best success. The best fishing is in the narrow
bay at the northwest corner of the lake where the Atnarko River
drains out; an ideal spot for anglers is in another nearby bay with
an in-flowing stream. Winds often have to be contended with on this
large lake, so caution is encouraged.

Viewscape:
The scenic mountains surrounding the lake are covered with a pine
forest.
Shoreline:
Good sand and gravel beaches surround the lake.
