Location:
Located 15 km. (9.3 mi.) northwest of the community of Barriere.
From the city of Kamloops travel
north on Hwy. #5 (Yellowhead Hwy.). Pass through Barriere on Hwy.
#5 and turn west (left) onto Petersen Cr. Road and follow it to
Gorman Lake. This road is a good 2wd road however be alert for logging
trucks.
Resorts
& Campsites:
A small, grassy, 5 vehicle BCFS campsite with cartop boat launch
can be found at the lake.

Fishing
Report: Consistently good rainbow fishery throughout
the season. Trout will reach an average size of 2 lbs. Gorman is
the first lake you come to on your way to many other fine lakes
in this area. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com

- Allan, Dunsapie, Mayson, Scott 1 & 2, Windfall,
Windy and Whitewood Lake are just a few lakes in the area. Of
course, there are many more which are walk-in or fly in, situated
close by. All the lakes mentioned have BCFS campsites and cartop
boat launching. Rainbows will reach 2 lbs with spring and fall
being the best fishing months. Fly fishermen should pay particular
attention to early spring and fall Chironomid hatches as well
as Caddisfly hatches in late June and early July.
