Travel north from the city of Kamloops
on Hwy. #5 (Yellowhead Hwy.) for 92.2 km. (57.2 mi.) to the community
of Little Fort. At Little Fort
turn west (left) onto Hwy. #24. Access to Meadow is via TaWeel Lake
Road off Hwy. #24.

Fishing
Report: Fair to good fishing for Rainbows up to 4-1/2
lbs. Leech and attractor patterns are reported to be the best for
fly fishing while trolling small lures, flatfish and spinning gear
remains very popular. Meadow is a great lake from which to explore
many excellent small fishing lakes in the surrounding area. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com

Lakes
There
are many 4x4 or trail accessible lakes in the immediate area surrounding
Meadow Lake. These are: Broken Hook, Colin, Deer, Flapjack, Friendly,
Gammarus, Grizzly, Lorenzo, No Name, Rose and Tahoola. These are
high elevation lakes that range from 1370-1500 m. (4493-4920 ft.)
and range in size from very small to 49 ha. (121 ac.). Most of these
lakes have extensive shoal areas and good quantities of aquatic
insect life. Fishing can be excellent and the action is usually
considered consistent throughout the summer months. Size of trout
vary from lake to lake but you can expect sizes of 1/2 lb. to 5+
lbs. BCFS campsites with cartop boat launches can be found at many
of these lakes. This area is beautiful and offers a wealth of fishing
experiences.
