Fishing
Report: Considered a very good fly fishing lake with
rainbows reaching into the 3 lb. class. Monticola is a consistent
producer throughout the fishing season. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com
for angling information!
Lynn Lake - Lynn Lake, located just west of Latermouille,
is a clear, shallow lake that provides a good fishery of Rainbow
and Brook trout. Expect these fish to reach up to 2 lbs.
Arrowhead, Gourd, Blowdown, Lance, Brian, Hourglass, Pioneer,
Johnny, Windfall, Randy, Francis, Bear Trap, Lorenzo, Heather,
Heidi, Popcorn and Gammarus are some of the great fishing lakes
in the nearby area. Many of these can be accessed by 2wd truck,
and 4x4's, however some are hike-in lakes. A quick stop at Little
Fort for up to date fishing and road conditions is recommended.
These are exceptional lakes offering a variety of fishing experiences.
Rainbows range in size from 1/2 lb. to 5+ lbs. Fly fishing can
be tremendous especially dry fly action during the late June,
early July Caddisfly hatch.
Note:
Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start
fishing a new lake.
