Location:
Francois can be found by travelling approximately 30 km. (19 mi.)
south of the town of Burns Lake
on Hwy. #35. The east end of the lake can be accessed by travelling
10 km. (6 mi.) south of the community of Fraser
Lake off Hwy. #16.
Resorts
& Campsites:
Many resorts and campsites are available at the lake. All services
and facilities can also be found at the nearby town of Burns Lake.

Fishing
Report: Francois contains a variety of fish species,
including Rainbows to 3+ lbs. and Lake Char that will reach up
to 20 lbs. and larger. Large spoons and plugs are used for these
large Lake Char, while trolling with smaller lures, flatfish,
spinning gear or large attractor flies is the most popular method
used for Rainbow and Kokanee. The lake fishes well throughout
the open water season. Francois is a very large, beautiful lake
