Location:
Haddo lake is located in the Okanagan Region of British Columbia,
approximately 36 km. (22 mi.) northeast of the town of Winfield.
From the city of Kelowna travel
north on Hwy. #97 to Winfield. Turn east off Hwy. #97 onto the Beaver
Lake Road. Follow this road to Doreen Lake. 3 km. (2 mi.) past Doreen
Lake turn south (right) and follow this road to Haddo Lake, final
access may be rough.
Resorts
& Campsites:
Haddo lake has 2 public recreation sites with campsites. Haddo Lake
West is a medium size, 7 vehicle site with access from Aberdeen
Lake. Haddo Lake North is a 10 vehicle site. Both campsites have
good cartop boat launching.

Aberdeen
Lake - Aberdeen Lake, a large lake of 254 ha. (627
ac.) is found just minutes to the north of Haddo. Containing wild
Rainbows up to 2-1/2 lbs, Aberdeen is considered a good fly lake.
A 15 vehicle semi-open BCFS campsite with good cartop boat launching
can be found on the southwest shore.
Nicklen
Lake - Nicklen Lake located just northeast of Aberdeen,
is 89 ha. (220 ac.) in size and lies at an elevation of 1341 m.
(4399 ft.). Medium sized wild Rainbows are caught consistently
throughout the open water season. Nicklen receives moderate fishing
pressure and stocking may eventually be required because of its
lack of good spawning areas. The popular lake has 2 BCFS campsites
with a total of 30 vehicle sites. Both sites have good cartop
boat launches.
