Location:
Loon Lake is located in British Columbia's Okanagan region, approximately
29 km. (18 mi.) northeast of the town of Winfield.
From the city of Kelowna travel
north on Hwy. #97 to Winfield. Turn east on the Beaver Lake Road
and follow it past Beaver Lake (Swalwell), Dee Lake chain and Doreen
Lake. Access to Loon Lake is found just east of Doreen Lake on your
right (south) side.
Resorts
& Campsites:
Loon Lake has a small public recreation site with campsite. Access
may be rough. There is also a fair cartop boat launching site.

Lakes
Aileen
Lake - Aileen Lake is a small lake of 4 ha. (10 ac.),
located a few kilometers southeast of Loon Lake. Winterkill can
be a problem, however Aileen is capable of producing Rainbows
up to 2-1/2 lbs. Access to the lake is rough and a truck is recommended.
A small 3 vehicle BCFS campsite can be found on the lake. Cartop
boats can be launched, but it is difficult.
