Both
Ladner and Tsawwassen are part of the Municipality
of Delta. Located in the south west corner of the British
Columbia Lower Mainland, these two urban centres are separated
by very fertile land. Ladner, a community on the Fraser
River, is older than Vancouver. Tsawwassen, is where the
ferry terminus for BC Ferries to Vancouver Island, The Gulf
Island, and Nanaimo.

Industries: The Roberts Bank Superport; two huge
industrial complexes on the Fraser River; a commercial fishery
and some farming. The BC Ferries Terminal to Vancouver Island
and the Gulf Islands is located at Tsawwassen.
Access:
Ladner is a few minutes from Hwy 99 that goes from the Canada/US
border through Delta, onto Vancouver and Burrard Inlet.
Tsawwassen is on Hwy 17, just 14Km (9 mi) southwest of junction
Hwy 99.
Recreation
Facilities/Activities: Super windsurfing off the
ferry spit; water slides; bird watching; beaches and river
front walkways.
