Location:
Cheakamus lies within the boundaries of Garibaldi
Provincial Park found approximately 15 km. (9.3 mi.) south of
the resort village of Whistler.
Access is via a gravel road leading east off Highway #99. This will
take you to a large parking lot. There is a final hike of a couple
kms. to the lake. Float tubes and canoes can easily be packed to
Cheakamus on this well groomed trail. Upon arrival the spectacular
scenery will make it all worthwhile.

All services and facilities can be found at nearby Whistler. Hike-in
campsites can also be found on the lake.

Fishing
Report: Cheakamus supports a Rainbow fishery with trout
reaching into the 1+ lb. class. Dolly Varden char also inhabit the
lake and are reported to grow to large sizes.
Viewscape:
Towering snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers and snowfields rise
to 1600 meters (5248 ft.) above the forested shores of Cheakamus,
making it a breathtaking scene.
