Location:
At Williams Lake turn west
onto Hwy 20. Follow this road approx 97 km (60 mi) to Hanceville
(a.k.a. Lee's Corner). Turn south off Hwy 20, cross the bridge over
the Chilcotin River and follow the Taseko Lake Road for about 85
km (52.7 mi). Just after passing Big Lake turn north. Follow this
road to Chaunigan, which lies just past Elkin and Vedan
Lakes.
Resorts
& Campsites:
Chaunigan has a resort with boat rentals. There is also a BCFS campsite
with boat launching available.

Fishing
Report: Chaunigan is a very special lake. Surrounded
by spectacular scenery and offering exceptional fishing. Wild Chilcotin
rainbows averaging 18 - 20 inches, with some fish going to 8 lbs.
Consistent fishing from June through mid September. Truly a great
fly fishing lake with a remarkable caddis hatch. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com

Viewscape:
Chaunigan lies in a spectacular setting of 100% moderately forested
hills of spruce and Lodgepole
pine, highlighted in the background by beautiful snowcapped
mountains.
Shoreline:
Rubble, small boulders and sand form the shoreline at lake level
with light brown forest soil higher up.
