Champion
Lakes Provincial Park is a 1408 hectare park that encompasses the Champion
Lakes chain. Small mammals including squirrels, porcupines, beavers,
bears and deer inhabit the surrounding area. This BC Provinvial Park
is a bird watchers paradise where species such as nighthawks, grouse,
kingfishers, woodpeckers and chickadees reside. The lakes provide excellent
fishing oppurtunities for the avid angler.

Access
to the park is located 10 km off of Highway 3B north of Salmo.

FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Camping
- The 89 unit campground provides water, wood and flush toilets. Picnic
areas, adventure playgrounds and beaches with changehouses are located
nearby.
Fishing
& Boating - Power boats are not permitted within the park but
canoeing is an interesting way to explore the lakes. Rainbow trout
of up to 30 cm are not uncommon. Trolling spoon and fly are the
most common methods used.
