Situated
at the end of Williston Lake, Mackenzie
is located 29 km (18 miles) from the Hart Highway (Highway 97).
This was wilderness area until 1965 when logging, pulp and paper
manufacturing possibilities were discovered. The area provides good
hiking, fishing and boating oppurtunities.
Morfee
Mountain:
There are excellent views of the mountains and Williston Lake from
Morfee Mountain.
Returning
to the Hart Highway and continuing north for 31 km (19 miles) from
Junction 39 you will come to Bijoux Falls Provincial Park, Pine
Pass Summit and viewpoint and Azouzzetta Lake.
