CRANBROOK
Majestic Mount Baker towers over Cranbrook's picturesque parks, forested campgrounds and verdant golf courses. It looms as sentinel to a city positioned on the threshold of five of Canada's most outstanding provincial parks. You'll find planty to see and do: golf course, mini-golf, waterslides, swimming pool, skating rink, tennis courts, city & provincial parks, hunting, fishing, hiking, trail-rides, snowmobiling, downhill & cross-country skiing.

ELKFORD
Situated in the Rocky Mountains of South-eastern British Columbia lush, forested slopes, spectacular alpine-meadows, glacier fed lakes and streams surround our picturesque community of Elkford. In such a setting, it is no wonder a myriad of outdoor and sports lovers have visited this area for over a hundred years. The same wildlife that attracts hunters has also begun to attract tourists with cameras, binoculars and sketchpads to view animals in their natural habitat.

FAIRMONT HOT SPRINGS
The soothing waters of Fairmont Hot Springs, coupled with world class golfing and outdoor splendour have made this one of BC's foremost holiday destinations. Located 112 km (69 miles) north of Cranbrook, on Hwy 93/95, Fairmont Hot Springs offers a wide range of accommodations and first rate recreational facilities.

FERNIE
Located in the Elk Valley, Fernie developed along the route of the railway that served the area's coal mines. This mining and logging community of approximately 5,000, is located on Highway 3, a major route that runs east to Alberta and west to Cranbrook. The visitor will enjoy hiking, mountain biking, trail riding, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, downhill & cross-country skiing. Fernie also offers a golf course and a variety of accommodations.

FIELD
Field is home to 300 inhabitants, and was established in 1885 with the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The community was named after Cyrus W. Field who was a promoter of the Trans-Atlantic Cable. The CPR was experiencing financial troubles at the time, and he visited the community at the invitation of company officials who wanted investment money - he didn't invest.

FORT STEELE
Visitors can enjoy first-class musical comedies, scripted street dramas, food at the International, and much more. The grounds are open year-round, dawn to dusk with an admission fee in peak season of mid-June to early Sept.

GOLDEN
Located at the junction of Highways 1 and 95, and surrounded by massive snow-clad peaks, shimmering lakes and high country blue skies, Golden is the perfect spot to enjoy nature. Activities include heli-skiing, ice-climbing, hang gliding, mountaineering, horseback riding, river rafting, kayaking, fishing, wildlife viewing, birdwatching, biking, hiking, golfing, skiing, wetland tours, and snowmobiling.

Many recreational opportunities await the vistor: a downhill ski resort, heli-skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, river rafting, horseback riding, swimming, and boating.

KIMBERLEY
Famous for it's Bavarian theme, Kimberley is located on Highway 95A, 32 km north of Cranbrook. Canada's highest city offers a vacation with a firy tale feel. Scenic biking and hiking paths thread through Kimberley Nature Park. The Mark Creek Nature Trail leads to Marysville Falls, a 100' cascade of water over rocks worn smooth. You'll enjoy downhill skiing, golfing, an alpine slide, amusement park, mini-golf, indoor tennis and racquetball courts, bumper boats and go-carts. The chairlift at North Star Mountain offers unrivalled views of the Rocky Mountains. Highway 95A, 32 km. north of Cranbrook.

Radium's steaming springs have made it a favourite destination offering great hospitality as well as superb restaurants. Hot pools, golf courses, mini-golf, racquetball, squash, downhill & cross-country skiing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and snowmobiling are sure to keep you busy. Accommodation ranges from modest campsites to Four Diamond resorts. Sheer cliffs, surging snow-fed streams and lush river basins characterize the area, located south of Golden and north of Cranbrook on Highway 95.

REVELSTOKE
Nestled in the shadows of the imposing mountains of the Selkirk Range on Trans Canada Hwy #1, this modern community is a haven for ourdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and Heli-skiing are just a few of the many activities you can enjoy in the Revelstoke area. The railway played a large part in Revelstokes development and its story can be viewed at the Railway Museum.

SPARWOOD
Highway 3 runs through the community - southeast to the Alberta border and southwest to Fernie. Highway 43 heads north from Sparwood to Elkford. Beyond this alpine community exists a treasure of high country adventure: fly fishing in pristine mountain lakes and streams, whitewater rafting, hiking or biking old forestry trails and wildlife photo opportunities. Beautiful community parks are favourites for picnics and evening strolls.
