Creston
Valley Wildlife Management area . . . 240 bird species that include
raptors, songbirds, shorebirds, and waterfowl, white-tailed deer and
coyotes. Excellent birdwatching during the months of April, May, June,
July, August, September and October. Access by paved road.
Kokanee
Creek Provincial Park . . . white-tailed and mule deer, spawning
kokanee, birdwatching for shorebirds, raptors, waterfowl and songbirds.
Viewing spawning kokanee best during August and September. Months of
May, June, July, August, September and October are good birdwatching
months. Access by paved road.
Hill Creek . . . spawning kokanee, ospreys, eagles, mink,
otters, deer and black bears. Wildlife viewing year round. The month
of October is best for viewing spawning kokanee. Access paved and secondary
roads.

Lower
Arrow Lake/ Syringa Creek Provincial Park . . . deer, black bears
and bighorn sheep. Viewing bighorn sheep is year round, deer viewing
is best from January to July, view black bears during June and July.
Access by secondary road.
Pend d'Orelle Valley . . . both white-tailed and mule deer,
coyotes, raptors and songbirds. Best viewing for white-tailed deer is
from January to the end of April, viewing mule deer best during the
months of May and June. Access by paved and secondary roads.
