Fishing Report: Managed as a quality lake Big OK produces rainbows 3lbs and larger, by larger is meant that 8lbs and up is not unheard of in this lake. Huge chironamid, mayflies and sedge hatches along good populations of fresh water shrimp ensure these trout get enough food to grow big. This is an artificial fly only catch and release fishery. Best times for fishing are spring and fall. If you're a fly fisherman and are looking for trophy rainbow, Big OK is the lake you might be looking for.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Along the shoreline many stumps and boulders can be found along with a band of sedge ranging from 5-l0 meters (l6-33 ft) in width. Aquatic plants include chara and potamogeton. The lake bottom is composed of organics over cobble. The mid-lake area and the east shore is made up of a large sunken island averaging l.8m (5.9 ft) in depth, dropping away to l2.2 m (40ft) on the south end of the lake.
